Clear Start Assessment

Migard 2.5mg Tablets are a prescription-only medication used for the acute treatment of migraine attacks in adults. It is effective in relieving symptoms such as headache, nausea, and sensitivity to light and sound. Migard is not used for migraine prevention but is a reliable option for treating episodes as they occur.

How It Works
Migard contains frovatriptan, a type of triptan that specifically targets serotonin (5-HT) receptors in the brain. Migraines are believed to be caused, in part, by the dilation of blood vessels in the brain. Frovatriptan works by narrowing these vessels and reducing the inflammatory response. This action helps stop a migraine in its early phase and alleviates associated symptoms.

Why Choose Migard
Migard offers a long duration of action and a low risk of headache recurrence compared to some other triptans. Its 2.5mg oral tablet is easy to take, and it is well tolerated by many patients. It is especially suitable for migraines that are slow to develop or last longer, providing sustained relief with a lower risk of rebound symptoms.

Important Note
Migard should only be taken once a migraine has started and is not for routine use or prevention. It is not suitable for individuals with heart conditions, a history of stroke, or uncontrolled hypertension. It should not be taken alongside other triptans or ergotamine-type medicines. Always follow your doctor’s instructions and do not exceed the recommended dosage.
