COVID-19 Vaccine at Mentor Pharmacy

The COVID-19 vaccine helps protect you from becoming seriously ill with coronavirus. It’s safe, effective, and one of the best ways to reduce your risk of infection and complications. At Mentor Pharmacy, we offer both NHS and private vaccine appointments depending on your eligibility.

Why Get the COVID-19 Vaccine?

COVID-19 can still pose a serious risk, especially for older adults and those with existing health conditions. The vaccine:

— Helps protect against serious illness and hospitalisation
— Reduces the chance of passing the virus to others
— May help protect against newer variants
— Has been carefully tested and approved for use across the UK

Getting vaccinated remains one of the most effective ways to look after your health — especially during flu and winter season.

Who Can Get a COVID-19 Vaccine?

The NHS offers free COVID-19 vaccinations to those at higher risk, including:

— Adults aged 65 and over
— Residents in care homes for older adults
— People aged 6 months to 64 with certain health conditions
— Those who are immunosuppressed
— NHS and social care workers

If you don’t meet the NHS criteria, you can still get protected with a private vaccine for £70. These are available to adults aged 18 and over.

NHS COVID-19 Vaccine Bookings

If you’re eligible for a free NHS vaccine, you’ll need to book through the NHS App or the official NHS website.

Please note: Mentor Pharmacy does not accept NHS COVID vaccine bookings through our own system. All NHS appointments must be arranged via the NHS booking service.

Private COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments

If you’re not eligible for an NHS vaccine but would still like protection, we offer private COVID-19 vaccinations for £70 per dose.

Private appointments are available through our own booking system and are open to anyone aged 18 or over. This is a good option for those who still want protection but don’t qualify through the NHS.

For any queries, contact our team before booking — we’re happy to help.

Important Information Before Your Appointment

Before you attend your vaccine appointment:

— Please bring a form of ID with you
— Let us know if you’ve had a recent COVID infection or vaccine
— If you’re feeling unwell on the day, contact us — we may need to rearrange your appointment
— Wear loose clothing so the upper arm is easy to access
